38   Link   Word Q Predictive text & voice recognition
A predictive text & voice recognition program that you can download free for a month.

Word Q has a voice recognition programme that can work with it. It is like Dragon naturally speaking. It has a training component to recognise your voice, but the student doesn't even need to read much to do this, as it says what to read, then pauses for you to "read" it in the training part. It works by using a microphone and in Word you speak a phrase. It then has the drop down list with a phrase or two in it, if it is what you said you select the number, if it isn't you say it again and another list drops down.

Both these two can be downloaded free from the website for a 30 day trial. Download Word Q first then Speak Q. The latter just attaches itself to Word Q and appears in the little toolbar.
